I have a 96 TA (6 speed) w/ 373's. It currently has 330rwhp and 350 ft lbs of torque. What clutch should I go with. An center force dual friction or a spec stage 3 clutch ? :dontknow:

I'd take the Spec.

I run the Centerforce and i love the thing .. i realize i payed a bit more for the name but this clutch HOLDS .. the best thing is when it gets hot this thing gets S T I C K Y rather than bleeding off power

I run the Ram HDX with an aluminum flywheel. I like it for the most part. It grabs awsome compared to the stocker that was in there. As it gets hotter it grabs even more. You do get a little chatter when taking off but I still run 3.42's in mine so you have to slip the clutch a bit when taking off, with more gear this really wouldn't be an issue. Your 3.73's would probably take care of that.
Pedal feel is actually softer than the stocker I pulled out. For what I am doing with the car at the moment it is more clutch than I really need, but should work nice for what I have in store. Larry.

I hate centerforces... A couple of cars I've put them in... no good.

I've personally been running my SPEC III for about 60k miles now. Still holds on slick dumps :)

I have a Spec Stage 3 and have about 100 miles on it. It is going to be great when broke in. Still jumps up and down when taking off under slow rpm. I have changed my drive style a little. It is getting better each time I drive it. Petal is pretty hard compared to the stock one. I drove my sons Stock 2002 SS with his stock clutch last weekend and about push my foot through the floor board at the first stop light. LOL

LOL yeah the SPECIII will do that to ya, but it will get better, once you get your 500 miles on her OMG you will a BLAST with it, its takes a HUGE LICKING and keeps on ticking, i never had any trouble with it, if i had to do it again, i would go with the III again.

well there ya have it either clutch seems to be a good choice .. most choose the cheaper alternative but hey use the extra cash for more upgrades (light weight flywheel perhaps)
