Hard brake peddel?

I just bought my 95Z 4 weeks ago,I have not driven another one to compare it to but the brake peddel is very hard!It is a 6 spd ,and the other day I was sitting in the yard idling and I pushed on the brakes ond the idle droped,I figure I have a vacume leak.Is there a common problen with this, or am I just going to have to track down the leak? Track down the leak, could also be the master cylinder.

Some thing I also noted is that it will pull to one side or the other at slow speed if i let go of the wheel,Master cylinder?
