View Full Version : Sometimes hard to get car in gear

Sometimes it is hard to get the car in a gear, any gear. this never happens when shifting through the gears, but very often after putting it in neutral, releasing the clutch, then trying to get it back into gear again. I have to keep trying to force it into a random gear until it pops in, then it easily goes into any gear. Letting the car roll forward a bit does not help any.
I have a SPEC 3 clutch with about 5 thousand miles on it.

Wonder if the master/slave cylinder is going out or low on fluid.

If this problem isn't due to the SPEC, then I like it just fine. I got a hybrid disk...and I really can't tell it from a stock clutch. It is very streetable.
Thanks for the ideas, I remember having some issues with the slave cylinder when we did the clutch swap.

hear anything good about the 3+ besides the higher torque rating?

yea, normal stage 3 has a torque rating of up to like 600 or something and the 3+ gets up to 800. somethin like that
