Fuel Leak

Hi guys it's BigD from the uk.
Got a problem with my Roadmaster wagon.
Last time i filled her up with fuel ,then drove away and stopped,there was a smell of fuel from the back end drivers side.
I jacked her up and looked around the tank expecting a leak from the overflow pipe from filling but found that a trace(just enough to make the odd drip with engine running)of fuel was running down from the top of the tank beyond where i could see.
I am assuming this is where the fuel pipes enter the tank, strangely, the injection system is not picking up a fault yet the tank fails to pressurize during driving ie it does not hiss when i take off the fuel cap.
Can anyone out there help me?:dontknow:

Obviously she needs to go up on a ramp but i am a little scared of messing with the fuel system(for safety reasons)

Well id say maybe you have a hole in your tank allowing it not to pressurize only really way to tell is (sorry to say) but droping the tank and doing a visual check out also id say hook up a fuel pressure guage and see how much your getting that way you can see if yo9u have good pressure to the injectors.

Hmm im not too sure but maybe jb weld or I believe they make a fuel tank repair kit (not too sure tho)

Evap cannister is probably going bad causing the smell and the lack of pressurization. What year is the wagon? 96+ cars will usually throw a code if something's wrong with the evap system.

Why no smoking? I helped my one frind put on under body neons on his car and we used a candle and he had a gas leak. Noting happened.. LOL...yeah but dont really smoke around it. It was a stupid idea to use a candle but thats all we had because the house we weer at the kid didnt have a light we could use and it was dark. Im glad im still alive
