Hi, I have a question, has anyone used the LT4 timing set and drilled the dole hole for a bushing to install offset bushing to get the the correct timing. Or do I have to buy a Cloyes Hex-adjust.

Ray396 02-22-2010, 05:09 PM Hi OK I have 383 Lt1, using the stock timing cover and acc. The reason I am asking is I need the cam installed 4 degrees advanced. camaroz28383 02-23-2010, 02:48 AM simple solution http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MRG-988G/ by using this offset key you can control the cam timing Ray396 02-23-2010, 03:15 AM Hi, Thank you I did not about that. If you do buy an offset SBC crank key, you will need to file it to match the cut-back design of the LT1 key. I think most LT1 cams are machined with 4° advance built in. Is that what you are talking about? | |
