Check out the ratios for the 2006 6sp auto:

First gear 4.02
Second gear 2.36
Third gear 1.53
Fourth gear 1.15
Fifth gear 0.85
Sixth gear 0.67
Final drive ratio 2.56

Notable things would be the ultra steep 1st gear and the lack of a true 1:1 gear. Overdrive is slightly taller than the 4 speed's .70

With such a steep 1st gear they can run a lot taller rear gear and still get as good or better 1st gear acceleration than a T56 car with 3.42s.

read something over on Tech, the 6L80E has the same physical dimensions as the 4L80E, so im assuming theres nothing much to swap one into a F-body, its even got its own stand-alone computer

if it was proved to handle the power, id be interested interested in one and drop the rear gear to a 3.23

There's a tread over on tech where a guy took his C6 A6 to Atco and ripped off 12.48 @ 113 bone stock.

Imagine what it would do with tq management removed and a set of DRs.

thats the same as a 4L60E with 5.39's out back!!
