Because the man is here.

I'm from LS1Tech and from our local MTFBA board, josh99ta on both. Figured I'd get in over here while it was still starting. I've got a '99 Trans Am and have been an LS1 owner since January 2001. First "real" car I ever owned as I drove a 4 banger Mustang as my first car for a few years.

Did a little to the Trans Am here and there, but was mainly into stereo stuff for a few years (young and stupid), and only recently have I started to really mod it. I've got a few suspension tweaks (Koni SAs, 32mm sway bar, random BMR and Energy Suspension stuff). Just finished putting in a MTI T1 cam, some long tubes and true duals, a TCI 4000 stall, and some 3.42 gears. Car made 335/373 unlocked on the dyno and I'm still awaiting track times (pick up my ET Streets this weekend, then it's track time).

Glad to be over here. The site layout looks great and it should be a good board I think. A good medium ground for us gearheads.

Its hands down the best looking car in MTFBA, though he can't leave well enough alone, LOL.

Thanks loudmouth. Much appreciated Vendetta. Vendetta, I recognize your name from LS1Tech, although I miss the avatar of Sadaam in the Yankees hat. :p AesROCK isn't so bad though. "Cameras or guns, one of ya'll are going to shoot me to death" all the way back to Music for Earthworms, I'm a definite fan.

Chris, be happy man, I'm going to leave the car's appearance alone. :) The more I look at the new things I've done the more I'm happy with how it looks.

BTW: Let it be known, the : D smiley isn't working, and our :p and ;) smilies look a little on the non-hetero side. We have to work on these smileys. This limit to four "images" needs to be bumped a little as well IMO. Just suggestions of course.

Going to try to hit the track next weekend (August 13) if the weather cooperates, if not I'll bump it to the next Saturday and the next and the next until I can run. :) It will be ASAP though.

Dont really know what to expect. The car is basically stock weight, so I'm not expecting anything spectacular. According to what other people's cars have ran with similar mods and similar power, I think I could see anything from an 11.7 @ 115 to a 12.5 @ 108, but given the hot and humid southeastern weather, and my lack of familiarity with this setup (from the suspension to the stall to the tires), I'd guess somewhere in the low-mid 12s at close to 110 MPH.

With the long tubes and true duals, I feel like the car has alot more bark than it does bite. :p
