Window tint coming off

On my driver side window there is a line of tint coming off, it looks to me like something inside the door is scraching it off, the same thing is happening on my friends camaro. Any ideas?:dontknow:

Where on the window is it being scraped? The easiest way is to just pop off the door panel and track it down. You can reconnect the window switches after the panel is off and open and close the window to see.

I have the same problem on mine, it was there when i bought it though, anyone know what it is?

I took my inside door panel off yesterday and found out what it is, up near the top of the door there are two gides, on mine the rear one lost the pad so now it's just bare metal scraping the window.

They're the window stabilizers. They're about $4.50 each. Might as well replace all four (two in each door) while you're in there lest you want the tint scratched up more.

Unfortunately for me, I bought the car with one of the stabilizers completely broken off. Tint is TRASHED on that side.....note to self, have that replaced.

sounds like a rough problem, but again, it's not too tough to take the door panels off and take a look around in there. the worst problems you can have are the ones you can't see or hear....

easy replace and damn near every f-body ive seen has exp this same problem .. just replace the guides
