Howdy all, I came across this site by surfing for turbo info for my 93 TA.
In about a year, I'm tearing it down to make one bad ass street car. I've owned it for ten years, it has 97,000 miles, runs great, only a few minor problems and will still kick most Junkstangs asses! But it's getting wore out and I really like the car, so some time and money will be spent. I Love the looks of this car. Black on black, but the paints bad etc, etc. I'm in the process of recearching for the best H.P. parts. I don't like centrifical blowers, that's why I was looking into turbos, but I saw in here that drawing of the magnussan LT1 blower and really hope it's coming out! I asked them 5 years ago , and they had no plans at that time. So it's great to see so many people in here.;)

I heard about it from my son. He is spent most of his time on thirdgen.com since we built his 85 Camaro from two cars, a 90 RS and an 85 TPI Z28. Added a 4 bolt main 350 with eagle rods, new heads, cam...we tore every nut and bolt off of it. I've got an 02 WS6 Trans Am M6 and just picked up a 97 Firehawk M6, #40 of 163. Before these I've had 3 other Camaro's and a 10th Anniversary TA

Back in the GM garage after being fully Mopar-ized for many years.
Gave my big Dodge B250 RamWagon to my cousin's daughter's father-in-law (wotta mouthful) after he got hurt during retirement and his Ford Pickup crapped out. He does furniture refinishing to pick up extra change and my cousin's kids are really special.
Anyhow, since we have a PopUp RV, we needed a good tow vehicle so I lurked on eBay and found a 1995 Cadillac w/ the LT1 out of TX. No rust (CarFaxed, inspected, etc.) for our tow "truck."
It's got the 2.93 gears, HD cooling and trans cooler as standard, so that's why I'm here in addition to the web site over on the Cadillac site where the bunch, with the 94-96 Fleetwood Broughams are now talking about turning 13's in the quarter . . .STOCK!
Yes, they have photos, too.

Just joined tonight and having some problems posting. Anyway, I'm rodding a '37 Studebaker coupe express 1/2 ton. I just purchased a '96 caprice 5.7 LT1 from a salvage yard, and it's on the way to the local machine shop. Any, and all info I can get about this paticular powerplant would be greatly appreciated. My name is Cryin' the blues and I drove a piece of f body...here me out!
I have a 95 lt1 w/ AFR heads, a comp cam, mac headers, a high flow cat,
flow master exhaust, heavy duty clutch, B & M short shifter, K & N air induction, Richmond 3.73's, tuned and dyno 328rwhp/319ft-lbs.
All in the almost 8 yrs I've owned it. It only has 73k miles
(I bought @ 16.7k / 1999)
Last week I had axle seals and rear brakes put on $300
I thought and even debated a 9" bolt in but thought I could squeak
a little more time out of these gears, I put them in last July (2nd time)
Yesterday...I put tires on it $450. It needed them because it has a tendency to spin the tires. Go figure?!
Tonight / Two hours ago...2nd time I've been to the track.
I was missing 2nd and grinding gears, with embarassing 60 ft times
ran 13's at 107...I'm leaving Cecil County (local 1/4 mile), low and behold
My rear was singin...if you've blown your rear you no that sound!
I just needed to vent...I went online found this forum...here I am.

Ran across this site while trying to find some goodies for my LT1. I don't have a z or w(s6) for it, but I do have a few good choices to house it. 1971 Chevy CST-10 pick up, 1982 Buick Regal Limited (maybe not since I just dropped a 3.8 TURBO into it), 1986 Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham, or my 1986 Buick Regal Limited <-- most likely candidate since it came with a v8 stock. I've also got a 1980 Buick Riviera TURBO that I'm considering selling (IMMACULATE CONDITION anyone know how much I can get for it? lol). I also bought a 1985 Chevy Monte Carlo for my son, soon after that we bought a 327 to drop into it but we can't seem to figure out what it came out of. I also have a 1977 Datsun 280z that my son has been nagging me to be the recipient of the LT1, he's crazy though!:homer:

Hi,
I followed a thread from clubhotrod.com. This is a real nice site and loaded with information. My son may not have sold his LT1 Vette if he had known of this site.

Hello everyone I found a link here from UMIperformance. I am currently building an 86-87 hybrid GTA. Lots of big plans in the works, now to scratch up the dough.

I actually didn't come from any other sites. I just got my first TA about a week or so ago and found this site on a yahoo search. Looked through some other forum sites but this one seems to be the best.
