I have a guy that is wanting to upgrade his brakes on his 2002 TA.
I am thinking that he is wanting to stay away from the high dollar stuff and stay more with a budget upgrade.

I was wondering what you guys have done and what the cost was.
My first thought of course was going with upgraded rotors for about $400 for the front and the rear.

Then the C5 rotor's (along with the brakcets) was the next thing I thought off. $250 for the brackets and $230 for the rotors. (Front only)

The full C5 front brake conversion being the most expensive, around $1000.

I clicked on a couple of the Sponsors links and saw where one is selling a Aerospace caliper and rotor set for $635. (Front)

I have the C5 upgrade and it is the most cost effective IMO. Don't know anything about the Aerospace setup but for that price just be sure its not a drag-only braking system (meaning it may not be meant for multiple successive stops).

If you buy just the brake caliper brackets for the C5 conversion and then source all your own GM parts (calipers, rotors, pads, etc.) you can get the C5 conversion down around $800, maybe less.

I have the part numbers for all that.

I don't think even their "street" kit is really meant as an upgrade. Looks more like a weight reduction scheme than an increased-braking scheme. THey make drag brakes: http://www.aerospacecomponents.com/front_brake_kits.htm
