View Full Version : Question I'm so freakin clueless. Is this a picture of a trans crossmember or just a mount? Dj Brady 11-22-2009, 09:34 PM http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b36/djbrady/photo-1.jpg CKJ 11-22-2009, 10:20 PM The item on your right is a hanger for your exhaust system, and the clam shell like clamp on the left of the transmission tail shaft is your torque arm mount. There is no cross member in the picture. Dj Brady 11-22-2009, 10:24 PM Thanks very much. Sometimes it's painful being this retarded. :) So the hunt is still on for a crossmember. :) CKJ 11-22-2009, 10:27 PM Naah man, its not being retarded, its just that if you don't know you just don't know. Nobody knows everything about everything Dj Brady 11-22-2009, 10:29 PM Heh.. true... my dad always said, "people have circles of knowledge.. just because they don't know what you know, it doesn't make them ignorant".... I just hate being clueless.. still gotta get my hands on a service manual.. that would answer 90% of my questions. Got manuals for all my motorcycles and I've done all kinds of work on them, but this bugger's tough to find. meine96ws6 11-22-2009, 10:49 PM you can try an aftermarket on..might be easier.. CKJ 11-22-2009, 10:52 PM posted in the wrong thread http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=fac...bird&_osacat=0 (http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=factory+service+manuals+camaro&_sacat=0&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313&Type=Cars%2520%2526%2520Trucks&_dmpt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&Make=Chevrolet%7CPontiac&_odkw=factory+service+manuals+camaro+firebird&_osacat=0) Depending on your year and model, the 93 are the only year F-body that is seperate from Camaro & Firebird. The rest, 94-97 cover both in the same manual. __________________ Dj Brady 11-22-2009, 11:27 PM nice! Thanks for the heads up. | |
