Custom grind from Outlaw Motorsports. The specs are hush hush for now, but it'll be a vast improvement over my current cam (233/236 .585/.599 112).

We're all within an hour of Chicago. This winter hasn't been too bad. Kinda mild actually. Probably not too much different from you.

When's that dyno gettin done?

I'm itching to get my car back lol

gettinthere
03-16-2006, 11:37 AM
The dyno should be good to go. It's been a little crowded in the shop to use it lately though.

Ωmega
03-16-2006, 11:40 AM
Yea I know, we had to park mine outside the day I brought it in cuz there were so many cars.

That's a good sign though

Yeah it's a real good sign. Hell, I can't even get my car in there. :roflmao:

Sounds like someone has ordered a special spec'd cam.......(lol)

That should pickup another 60hp from stock depending on mods IMO, since I should pickup around 45-50 w/my 228/230. Please let us know how the dyno results turn out.

POLL TIME (lol)

gettinthere
03-16-2006, 02:14 PM
I dyno'd at 428 on our Mustang Dyno which would be about 465-470 Dyno Jet thru a 6 speed on my old cam. I'm hoping to stay right about the same with the stalled auto and new cam now.

Lookin' to improve the 60' eh?

Should be interesting to see the actual results on the strip.......Tranny swap w/high stall should really provide a nice kick in the seat. I had the chance to purchase a used Joe Overton cam, but it was too big for my application (preference) and (b) I am not to keen on purchasing a used cams.

Good luck

BTW, just in case: I'm 6'1" 195lbs, so I guess I had better be careful even in the playmode

Actually they were bald nitto's that were bogging, not spinning. It was a wierd day. I could launch at 3400 and bog, but then I'd launch at 3500 and spin.

CamTom12
03-30-2006, 01:12 PM
days like those you need to be real light on the clutch...

I hate days like those, hahaha

Highest I've been able to launch my slicks at was 4800 (no rear sway bar = walking rear on burnouts = very short burnouts :D ), and they'd spin. 4500 would bog. Soooo frustrating!

It sucked. I just kept getting frusurated. My buddy who had a bolt on A4 would kill me out of the hole. and we'd run the same ET. :thumbdown

He did say that he'd see my car coming like a friggin bat outta hell though in his mirror.

Too bad you're gonna miss it :)

Have fun with your squishy converter!

p.s. - Are you caged yet? I need one and I'm waffling between some shit. I need some advice from someone that's got one

gettinthere

I will be caged very soon. 8 pt chromoly with swing outs.

And I'm getting rid of the MW convertor and getting a Yank 4000.
