The motor i was building before i sold my firebird was a 402. I would have given the world to have finished it and run it. Go 402!

if you didn't check the color of your plugs after spraying.. you could have been leaning out.
Did you have a dry shot or a wet shot? If it were dry did you make sure the computer was adding fuel for the nitrous (nozzle before the MAF sensor)
Did you check you fuel pressure before spraying (making sure your fuel pump was up to the task)? what kind of htings did you run for safety (like fuel presure safety switch and such)...
answer these4 for me please :) :) :)

3K is kinda low for a shot, isn't it?

nah... that is what is reccomended for the minimum rpms to spray...

Wow. Sorry to hear that.
Some guy at the Buffalo Speedway down here( or should i say, up here ) has a Formula with over 160 K, stock bottom end with a 150 shot, and he has sprayed like 30 times.
I dont know much about Nitrous, but you must of had something off key.
That kind of shit needs to be installed professionally.
Not because its hard, but the amount of " precision " and tuning.

well for one ...it was a dry shot...i had used it a few times before only running a 50 and a 75 ....uprgraded to the 100 shot it 3 times and on the 4th time it blew...my fuel pump is out of a 02 ws6 with less than 30 k on it...it was in the lid so yes it was well before the maf and the IAt....but i never changed the plugs so i guess thats wat did me in huh ? ....and asseing the damage....there is a hole in my oil pan...and in my intake there are peices of metal all over...so does that means my heads are screwd ? ??? if i sprayed to low would it have caused all this ?? im still tryin to figure out wat went wrong

Well you should have gone to a one step colder plug and put the gap down to .035... but this wouldn't have been the reason for this catostrophic failure.
You should run a FPSS so if the fuel pressure drops below the safe level the nitrous would shut off. only $35....
You should have either got a wideband o2 or should have watched your plugs to monitor your a/f. This way you would know if the maf was adding enough fuel or not (sounds like it wasn't)...
metal in your intake could be from your pistons... valves... anything... could be bits of your rings.. lol.
Last thing is... you ever watch your oil pressure? couldhave lost all oil pressure and kaboom.

it was right around 3k....ive heard the stock tach can miss read so i def rember seeing over 3...but if i was it could have been a little under...after pulling apart the motor...the owner before had put in the platinum PLUS 2 spark plugs...on one side not the other... i have never checked so i just assumed they were stock....and yes it blew on the side they were on...cylinder 8 i belive ...it was a complete mess...connecting rod and piston....all in pieces...empty cylinder....so wat should i do when i spray again ???

Platnium plugs melt with nitrous, I'm sure this amoung many other things you mentioned chaine dtogether to cause this problem.
My motor has 146k miles on it, I spray a 175 shot once a week for the past year with no problems.

Put in some TR6 plugs. I would stay with the dry kit because LSx intakes are not all that great with wet kits.
Get a FJO Mini Controller for the nitrous along with a FPSS and a A/F shut off. Beyond getting a wideband and WATCHING it, those are the safest things you can do. Possibly start pulling timing while spraying (not sure on options for this on a LSx motor).
THese are your best bet. Should run forever.
Dont go over a 100-125 shot unless you want to buy bigger injectors and a new fuel pump and get a tune. lol.
