Hey-
I've noticed recently (after putting my heads/cam in) that my transmission does this wierd thing where it wont shift. Like from first to second.
If I gun it off the line, the RPM's go up, and the shift point is 6250 (i think), but it doesnt shift. It hits the rev limiter, and bounces a couple times, and by then I'm too pissed off to see what happens.
When I'm not gunnin it, I feel it START to shift, and then I lay off the gas and it shifts. HARD. I do have a b&m shiftkit, but even without that, it shifts hard. The transmission slams when it shifts.
When I'm in like, third gear goin 40, and hit it, it downshifts, pumps up to redline and does the bouncing thing again.
It only does this hot, not when it's been sittin for a day or so.
My questions are:
-What causes this? my pcm scanner hasnt picked up any DTC's (I dont know if this would throw a DTC)
-Is there any picture online that I can look at for replacing individual pieces/parts in the tranny?
-In worst case scenario, I have to replace my transmission- wheres a good spot to get a race ready transmission that might be able to handle adding a blower on :)
