Some people asked for pics of my cooler and the custom set up we did. I couldn't get any clean pics of the trans side, but here's what I have. This is the largest cooler B&M makes. We had to use braided hose for the lines and Earls fittings. The pics are huge, so click the links.

thats rediculous, i can see all the shit in your radiator
so heres a question, ive asked couple times before on tech and no one answers it
how would you route the cooler? (yes i know you have a manual trans radiator so no trans lines on it)
trans - rad - cooler - trans
trans - cooler - rad - trans
trans - cooler - trans

I'll try to get some better pics of the cooler itself. I took those pics to show someone the fittings and braided hose.
And Matt, it depends on what size cooler you go with. One as large as mine doesn't need the radiator. Just plug the holes and go.

The last racecar I had a hand in needed a tranny cooler so I said, 'ok, I'll take care of it.'
went to a local junkyard and found the biggest truck I could find (one of those delivery trucks they use in the lumberyards) and pulled one offa that guy. :D

my buddy Brad (Noyzee on tech) was also running one from a truck for a while. Not sure if he still is, though

Probably not much difference between those combos.. but here is my .02 take it for whats it's worth..
Trans-Rad-Cooler-Trans is what I probably would do if I was driving it everyday, cooler after radiator so it has a chance to cool off in the radiator and loose more heat after the radiator through the cooler..
TRANS-cooler-rad-trans if you lived in a colder climate possibly?
Trans-Cooler-Trans only in warmer climates or non daily driver.. because the function of the built in "cooler" in the radiator is to help warm the trans up from a cold start, the coolant temp will rise quicker then trans temp, so it works both ways to cool/heat, basically regulate the trans temp..
but the first 2 there probably isn't too much of a temp difference anyway in either config.
thats my .02
