That would be pretty cool if there was a writeup for it but when I considered the glovebox, it looked like a mess to construct. I do like the idea of opening the glovebox and "Walla" there's the DVD player. For me, there wasn't much room to work with tho.
I placed my DVD player under my passenger seat so it's hidden and all I have to do is flip the seat forward to load a disk. I have a remote sensor module up at my rearview window so the remote infared signal is fine. Under the seat is fine for me since I rarely swap disks but always wanted it up front because if I go on a roadtrip, the passenger is unable to load a disk.
The other idea I had was to integrate the DVD to the "rear seat delete covers" that guys put in replace of their seat cushions. I have my rear seats deleted and was thinking of keeping the player under the cover. I already have my stereo amp under one side so the DVD could possibly go under the other side.
What does your console look like? On my 96 Z28, theres a cassette tape storage bin that I was thinking of relocating the DVD player to as well .
