Since we're close to the 6 month mark of being online, I want to rework the forums if there is demand to add certain ones and remove others. Let me know what things you'd like to see on this site and we'll try to make them happen!

how about a section with tech articles, the articles can be from magazines or members can write them, not like a normal forum but like something like a post made by administration every month. just a idea

We already have that here: http://www.ls1lt1.com/forum/faq.php
But you give me an idea...it needs to be more prominent in the forums.

For some reason, all the buttons come out as links instead.

What do you mean?
The post/reply etc. Buttons?
That probably would not be a site problem as they display fine for everybody else, that would be a browser problem on your end. Do you have your browser set not to show images?

It is a browser problem, because it works fine in opera, just not in firefox.

Interesting. I use firefox too and its fine. Check your settings, it might be set not to allow images to download.

I wish there was more traffic in the Appearance section, cant remeber what you call it. I really enjoy that forum on LS1tech. Its cool to see all the little custom tweaks, like smoothing out the front end on an LS1 Bird, that people do.
I think we have a chassis and suspension thread. I think if the forum really grows that just having the 3rd Gen forum and the 4th Gen Forum would really hurt navigation. Plus by putting Them together in one forum and making the user specify what generation F-body you would stimulate more activity in there because the two groups would mix and maybe learn from each other. Plus it would tidy up the forum a little bit.
Also I would say to kill of some of the extremely dead forums.$.02

I wish there was more traffic in every forum. What am I supposed to do about it that I haven't already?

I just uninstalled extensions which I thought were causing the problem, and found out that this website is set up so that I cannot view images unless the HTTP refferer is this site. Well, it just so happens that I had installed an extension which blocks HTTP reffering. So, It's all fine now.

There are quite a few forums that could be combined, allowing more traffic and less loading times.
Also, another thought to get more traffic in certain forums' is to put them towards the top of the page on the forums main site (www.ls1lt1.com/forum)

What forums do you suggest be combined?
I don't want to move high traffic forums to the top for one big reason: I think it makes sense to have an order to the way they are displayed and grouped. Now maybe the categories can be reordered according to traffic, and that's not a bad idea at all.

Chris,
Site is growing so fast I dont know how you sleep, I'm still having problems trying to log in at home but I can log in at the office now! Hows about a LS1 conversion/ transplant page?

I know LS1Tech has a popular conversions forum. I don't know if we have enough traffic for it yet, but its definitely a good idea.
Its a balancing act I think. You have to have enough forums targeted to people's interests that they say "hey, this site offers something for me" but at the same time too many forums with too little traffic means people won't come back. There are several forums I could combine like the transmission forums, but as we grow they will need to be separate, so I'm trying to think long range too.
