I used to be a zaino nazi, but I tell you the Maguires NXT stuff is pretty damn good for off the shelf polish. I hear it doesn't last very well, but when you have a black car you're polishing it constantly anyways.

I hear good stuff about Poorboys too. However it makes Zaino look like turtle wax price wise.

Poorboys polishes
Clearkote "red moose machine glaze"
S100/P21S Carnuba (NOTHING beats a good carnuba on black)

NXT tech wax is pretty nice too. Has some fillers so it hides some of those swirls in case you can't get them out with a polish.

I love the NXT line of products. I use the NXT Wash, liquid wax, and Spray Detailer.

I like the NXT wax. I found the wax in paste form, haven't tried it yet. I also like the #26 paste wax. I also tried the NXT wheel polish and it was easy to work with and the results were great.

Either Mothers Gold or Meguiars Gold/NXT for me.

I have a friend that swears by NTX on his 01 C5, and it does look outstanding, but it doesn't hold up.

Have another buddy how swears by Zaino, and his car only sits under a carport. Even in the weather and unwashed for well over a week, his car looks amazing. Amazing enough to make me break down and purchase Zaino.

I love the NXT. Used it on the C4 and it did an excellent job IMO. I want to try Zaino one of these days but just haven't justified it yet on a 20 year old car.

Zaino mostly, but I've got some NXT as well that I use from time to time.

I like the NXT products. I need to clean my car and get some wax on it. It looks awful now. :homer:

i like to claybar then a good coat of formula 113, then a good carnuba wax over top for more durability

i love the formula 113, can put it on in the sun and it comes right off

well at work i try everything under the sun just to see what works.. what lasts.. what looks good on certain colors... but on mine im hooked on using car brite's black pearl line of polishes about evry 3 months or so and carbrite's poly plus inbetween..which seems to be a dead ringer for tropicare

When the car really needs it, I will usually use Menzerna Intensive Polish with a yellow pad and Porter Cable. Then I'll switch to the Final polish II with an orange pad (also from Menzerna). Third goes the Zaino Z2 Pro followed by a coat of the Zaino quick detailer (Z6?) and finish with a coat of Z5 and another coat of the quick detailer. Then I go to therapy for being completely insane :D
