what is a quad driver?

I pulled the codes on my 95 3.4 firebird and it came up

quad driver 1 bad
quad driver 2 bad
quad driver 3 ok
quad driver 4 bad

And I am baffled. I scanned with an actron 9145 super auto scanner

a quad driver is a switch bank in the ECM itself

usually not a good sign

Mm..as steveo said its not a good sign when that starts popping up. What exactly were the DTC codes?

On my 93, that was the EGR and EVAP system. Ended up being the EGR in my situation

I have to rescan I had surgery monday and i can't remember what the codes were. I know last time it had an egr bad code and i fixed that and it said it had a misfire. My how i wish it was a 96 lol. Like a really smart guy i have 2 95's a 3.4 and a t/a lol.

it came up with 2 egr bad codes again so i guess i need to replace the egr again and see from there.
