I just ordered some Ground Control Coilovers and Koni SA shocks for my SS. I just couldn't stand the lack of compression damping (hitting the bumpstops) in the rear any more. As it is I need to repace the bumpstops in the rear. I will take picts of the entire transformation. Wish me luck.

Sounds like a nice setup.........think I'll be going that route when my bilsteins/eibach give out!

That was the setup I had and it only took 60,000 miles to completely destroy my Bilsteins. The first time you hit the pump stops is the time to start looking for new shocks.

Yes, at 59K+ now, and I feel them beginning to go.....but it doesn't help I overloaded the rear 400# w/stereo gear!
Front -- 2080
Rear -- 1940

Anyone running the QA1 F-body coil-over set-up ? suppose to be serious x-cross set up and not to terribly priced .. there is welding required to rear end though

QA1 coil overs are mainly for drag racing applications, Koni DA (pick your brand) coilovers are considered the hot ticket in road/autoX. I for one went with the Koni/Ground Control coilovers for my personal application. Global West makes an excellent coilover setup for our cars as well.

Dble A Koni's HIGH DOLLAR, but the singles are most likely what you want at least for a 4th gen
Sam Strano suggested a stiffer spring rate and the singles for my weight issue, and he would know!

Currently running the SLP Level Eibach/Bilstein setup
Quoted Koni prices:
Singles/pair $210 (3rd gen) or $310/pair (4th gen) ---- I am speaking of rears only, but I do know some guys running HALS on the front and are extremely satisfied! To the best of my knowledge, the rear Bilsteins are HD's, but the fronts are actually calibrated bilsteins, which is why I was only concerned with a new rear setup. I thought the HAL's were in excess of $500/pair

What was your quote for the front Koni SA's. I am curious to see if I payed too much for my Konis.

I'll let you know when the time comes to purchase, but I have unloaded almost 80# from the rear, so my suspension can "breathe" a few more years.
Eventually, the day will come, but until then, more MODS first
