Had a small leak on a water pump on a 95 camaro 3.4L and decided it was time to replace it. I disconnected the battery and proceeded to replace the water pump (and thermostat). Everything was going fine, got the pump on and started the process of putting everything back together.

When ready to start the car, the engine cranks normally but refuses to fire (or start). I have a good healthy crank going on but it does not fire, no hits - just the sounds of the starter cranking.

Part of the procedure was to remove one of the coil packs. I marked the plug wires and everything is connected on the ignition modules. I also checked the ignition fuses and they both are good.

I assume it has to be either the coil(s), ignition control module or possibly the whole friggin computer. Am I on the right track and if so, how can I eliminate the possibilities and get this car running?

Thanks in advance.:)

I'd unplug that coil again and make sure all the connector pins are straight. Double check the plug wires also

Definitely check for spark on one of the plug wires.

It sounds almost like you forgot to plug in one of the connectors on top of the ICM, I think it has 2 on the intake side and then a connector on every coil.
