Installin "magic stick" cam

My brother has a "magic stick" cam from texas speed and was wondering if there is anything special that needs to been done to the motor to get this done? I heard about fly cutting the pistons??? How is this done? Any help would be appreciated... :thumbsup:

TSP will be able to tell you if you need to flycut or not. I'm pretty sure you don't have to.

Seats, retainers, springs, timing chain (not totally necessary, but a really good idea) and pushrods. Depending on the year car a new oil pump.

With stock rocker arms you dont need to flycut, I just put one into 4thGenCamaro's car on ls1tech. Check in the midwest section and there's a little vid of it.

i belive the TSP magic stick is the biggest cam TSP makes thats still able to use stock heads and pistions.

Nice cam it was teh cam i put into the motor i was building for my firetird. Very streetable good idle awesome powerband, too bad i never got to use it though:mad:

You'll be fine with the PTV clearance. Just make sure you do your valvetrain as well. Get a nice dual spring kit good to .650".

If any of you need the tools to flycut, I will have a set of them that will only be used once. Bought from Isky cams to use once and resale.

I will be flycutting my pistons this weekend! I pray this works out OK. It sounds like a freaky thing to do to a piston. All in the quest to make power!

ive been wanting this cam for a while so to find out what its gonna cost me i asked TSP what heads would work
the LS6 heads would work really good with the MS3, it can be run with either heads, but the LS6 head offers great hp for the $$$. One customer on vetteforum made 460rwhp with h/c & stage 1 ls6!!

the cnc ported darts or the street ls6 heads will work great.
