the American Racing Rebel and i was thinking of this combo. 17x9.5 up front and 17x11 in the rear to fit them up with 275x40x17 up front and 315x35x17 in the rear,, am i making any sense in this decision and would it fit? what trouble i might get? finally, what Tires do u recommend up front and for the rear for a daily driven car? hot weather all year around.. thanks all

The fronts will fot fine. For the back you will have to do a few things. You'll have to remove the bumpstop, roll the fender lip and use a BFH on the inner fender wall. Or you could just use spacers and just roll the lip. Either way.

you don't need to "roll it up", just roll it out a bit. It's barely noticable and it will ensure no rubbing. It's not something I'd do first though. Put the wheels on and see if it needs to be done. Sometimes it doesn't.

yeah, you don't always need to roll them, only sometimes.
My buddy's TA with 18's and 315 DR's doesn't rub with no rolling

If money isn't a concern, Goodyear GS-D3's. Or for a mid priced alternative BFG KDWS's.

there seems to be a constant depate between BFG and Nitto's, but both seem to get the same overall rating, although BFG has a better hot weather control as it seems.

and actually after some search, the max of these rebels are 10 not 11, so that changes up the plan, i think maybe getting 18x10 with 295x35 tires will do the trick, right?

I'm not talking about the drag radials, I'm talking about regular street tires.
