Water Pump Removal Issue96RedZ28 07-03-2009, 12:08 PM Im having a problem removing the water pump from a 1996 z28. I got 5 out of the 6 bolts. But the 6th bolt is a pain, its on the driver side outer middle. It has like a different thing in front of it i cant tell if its a nut or locking nut. But how do i go about getting that off? And the mount in front of it has a different nut and bolt. shoebox 07-03-2009, 12:58 PM It's a stud and you have to remove the AIR pump bracket, first. Not a big deal. camaroz28383 07-03-2009, 07:53 PM hey when I did the pump on my car a while back that same bolt threw me for a loop hehe glad I'm not the only one when your lookin at it dosent seem like the air bracket is bolted to the pump but it is shoulda ripped that crap off when i was there;) now I can change one in like a half hour i'm gettin good at it | |
