Anybody offhand know what rpm's 6th gear would run at 75mph
Current gears I am running about 85mph at 1300rpm on factory tach which makes 6th gear useless.I want to change gears just not sure how high i want to go:dontknow:

if i remember right when i went 4.11's on M6 before converting to A3 75 mph was about 1700-1750 ish....
with 4.10's your 6th gear is actually useful... you dont down shift to pass, just giver more gas

now that being said, i have seen guys pick up 3 tenths with them,
the truth is, the differance it will make depends on how your car makes power...
if you have a peaky motor, that is, it makes power over a narrow band up top then 4.11's will make a much bigger differance. this is because they will bring your gear ratios closer together so you will not lose as much rpm with each shift. essentially keeping you in your powerband.
for me it did not matter as much because i have a very broad power band so losing alittle rpm didn't hurt me as much...
