Fuel Filter...tank is probably rusted too.

Yes, change the fuel filter first.
But, since you already had no fuel once, and it then started to work again before it failed again, I'd be more inclined to say you've got a bad fuel pump. Hearing it run and providing proper pressure are two different things. Not very likely that a fuel filter would plug up, unplug, and then plug up again. However, fuel pumps are known to operate intermittently.

Hey 57 what is the difference with the Berlinetta camaros verses the non-berlinetta camaros? I always wondered why they called them that.

It was a "creature comforts" package. Only the base V6 or V8 engine, always with AC, power windows (I think), etc. The later years had the digital dash and radio. Basically your stereotypical "secretary car". It was dropped after the '86 model year.
2nd gens also had a Berlinetta model.

Next time you think you have a fuel problem, theres a schader valve on the fuel rail. Get a fuel pressure guage, anyone who works on fuel injected cars needs one in the toolbox, and check for fuel pressure. Around 40 psi is good.

TBI doesn't have a Shrader valve.
