Tranny Swap

Alright i want to swap my 4L60E to a T56... dont know the easiest way but plan was to find another 94 z28 with the t56 and rob all the parts from it any advice would be great

ask gettinthere, he just did a M6 to A4 sway, it was on an LS1 but the concept should be the same

I just did a 4L60E and M6 swap in mine and my buddy's cars. He got my M6 and I got his built A4. It's not all that difficult, but there are some key things.

I'll have a write up posted in the next week, but if you have any question feel free to ask.

The easiest way is to find a "donor" car and swap everything.

Tranny
Clutch/Converter
Wiring harness
PCM (if you have no way to re-tune for the different trans)
Crossmember
Upper Console
Pedals
Hydraulics
M6 shifter
Bellhousing
Flywheel
You'll also need a new pilot bearing
