Hello all. I just bought a 94' convertible 6 speed Z/28 pretty cheap and I'm really enjoying the car. My first hot rod was an 82' Z/28 back in high school, that I ended up modifying quite a bit. I'm excited to start modding this car and hope all of you can offer advise in doing so.:LS1LT1flag:

Thanks, I will post some pics as soon as I can. I also just missed out on a set of coated Pacesetter long tubes and a magnaflow for a smoking deal. I'm pretty bummed out about it. Hopefully another good deal comes along

First off WELCOME! Don't throw all of your eggs in one basket...be sure to check the classifieds here and on other similar fourms as this one. Alot of times people swap out their exhaust and sell them dirt cheap just to get their nagging wife off of them b/c the exhaust is taking up too much space in the garage. Be sure when you ask for advice, that you say what your goal is for your car. Yeah we all know you want a 1000+ RWHP dependable car that gets like 25 MPG! Well, welcome to the ongoing puzzle game that we all here are playing. You will get good advice, bad advice, and some advice that is just plain "weird". Be sure to read over the sticky threads, there is ALOT of useful information in there at your disposal. For the most part we are all on the same team, but have spats from time to time. We welcome all new members and will help to the best of our knowledge. First thing i would do its CAGS! thats eliminate that annoying skip shift. You can get by with it for now, but there will be a time where it will just be so annoying that you won't be able to stand it any longer. I tolerated mine a whole week before i had to take action. There are two ways of getting around this" 1. SLP SkipShift eliminator which will run you around 27.00 for the part and can be installed in your driveway in minutes. 2. HP Tuner can delete it on your computers ECM. This price will vary from tuner to tuner, but usually i think its 60.00/hr. If you decide to go with an HP Tuner, may i suggest getting them to free up some HP by deleting AIR and EGR as well, plus it makes it worth the trip of going to a HP Tuner. You will cross many bridges such as what i just presented to you....do your homework and decide which will best suit your needs! GOOD LUCK!
