coil wire problem

I have a 5.7 TPI that I took out of an 89 IROC. I am installing it into a 50F1 ford pickup. The two wires on the coil are pink and white. does the pink coil wire have to go from the ECM to the I or P on the starter then to the coil to get the 12 voilts it needs? And is the white wire the tach wire. :dontknow::dontknow: Thanks RUSTY

The pink wire is what gets 12 volts from the ignition switch.

The white wire is the tach signal wire.
