Take it off and find the regular oil filter base for it. You'll be glad you did.

You run a bypass hose from the radiator to the water pump, like every other f-body LT1 that did not come with the oil cooler. :)

Sometimes clogging in the cooler can cause oil pressure problems.

Most guys that ditch it report a noticeable increase in oil pressure. If mine gives me any problems I'll be deleting it it for sure...

I think i might try doin the bypass this weekend cause well my pressure sucks the motor just dosent seem like it should be having problems yet only 92K on it and nothing ever shows up in the filter anyworse and it would be flowin backwards I have a regular filter adapter already what else would i need besides the hose to go from the pump to the rad. theres a gasket that goes inbetween the filter adapter and the block right

You don't need a gasket on the adapter.

this is all I need to remove the oil cooler sandwhich right forgot about easter so I think next weekend I'll do it. It just dosen't seem like the filter would spin on this and seal but it prob makes more sence when its installed just want to make sure before I tear into it
this is a stolen pic off ebay not actual piece:)

It fits up in a hole in the block, the filter gasket rests against the block.
