I have an 02 WS6 with 54000 milies on it. Lid and cutout only. Parked it two days ago and it was fine. Now it doesn't want to stay crunk. Seems to be searching for air or fuel. The rpms are bouncing around, and it shut off when I pressed the gas. Any ideas?

It could be a few things. Fuel filter, injectors, MAF......

may be bad gas, I poured in some stp gas treatment and injector cleaner then took around the block fine.

id lean more to the injectors being clogged, but as for the gas i never use anything other than Amoco or Mobil, and 93 octane at that

except that one time i went to Gas City and put in 100 octane, i didnt notice any difference

first,
100 octane gas will hurt performance if you are not tuned for it since the higher your octane, the slower the gas burns.
91-93 is what our cars want.... and NOTHING ELSE

second
the only way your injectors would be getting clogged/dirty is if you are putting in cheap gas, modern premiem gas has plenty of detergents, cleaning adjents etc etc etc... after 60,000 miles of HARD driving/racing my stock injectors had 0 build up on them.

third,
first place I would look when there is a idle/low rpm/throttle responce trouble is the IAC, as it directly effects all three.

in your case it could have been the gas, hint dont go to ma and pop stations to fill up because they have been known to water down the gas.

I would run that tank down as fast as you can and go to a GOOD station and filler up with the good stuff

Sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere. Have you taken anything off in the engine bay recently?

even if its not the fuel filter, it wouldn't hurt to change it anyway. as far as something to clean out the system, i use Sea Foam.
