Long story short, loe this body style. Recently got back into my gearhead mode and want to convert the stock 3.1 into a lt1 I know ill need the computer and what not but can someone point me to some links for a walk through, or something. Or perhaps a kit that includes the mounts and everything i need?

Thanks,
Omni

I don't know of any "kit" that includes mounts. Simple 3rd gen V8 mounts will do.

Follow Five7kid's link for a start. Also go through the LTX swap message boards on www.thirdgen.org (http://www.thirdgen.org) - all your answers are here.

What do you want to do - buy an LT1 from a donor and drop it in and drive, buy a used and rebuild it, or build a new LT1, or buy a new LT1? Do you want one from a corvette or f-body or caprice? If you are considering a high performance LT1 I highly recommend modifying your suspension as you have a V6 car correct? Your fuel system will need to be upgraded as well. Whats your budget?

I am going with a fully forged 383 LT1 supercharger setup from Golen Engine Service for my 92z and am selling a brand new short block I purchased earlier because it was real cheap.

I am selling a brand new 383 LT1 short block, wiring harness and a bunch of extras that will get you well on your way for cheap. See my classifieds ad here:

Based on friends suggestion I planned on finding a used engine form a 85-97 vette. Friend has a 94 f body Camaro with an lt1 in it built up. ls 4 bottom end and tons of other shit. I'm just starting to get into it. so i literally bought the car as something for me to work up. and my budget is whatever it takes to get it don.e I will literally be peicing the car together little by little over the next 2 years. I got it for something for myself and my dad to work on together and still get me to work and what not.

Suspension was the first thing my friend mentioned and i will do that befor i even begin to hunt down an engine. Here in texas there is a guy who specializes in all kinds of lt1 and ls1 so im pretty sure i can go to his salvage yard and get a mototr, tranny and fuel system for a pretty good price.
