Any other ideas or input will be greatly appreciated

Just curious......It says in the schedule that the meet in Louisville is at the National Corvette Museum.......The Corvette Museum is in Bowling Green Ky. where the Corvette is built. If that's where it's going to be, i'll be there for sure.

I'm planning on making the trip. May pick up as you go by Louisville. The wife and I had already made plans to do the entire Hot Rod Power Tour, but I think our plans are going to change! My wife has a customized Silverado she shows. I think we'll be in my Z and her truck. Going to be a blast!!

Haven't forgotten the hotel situation here in Louisville. My wife's picked out about 6 of 'em (all close to the interstate in a good part of town) and is going to call them tomorrow to see about group rates.

Here's some info on Hotels in Louisville:

I looked for hotels in the 'nice' side of town for security reasons for the cars. There are ones that would probably be ok...closer to I65, but not in as nice an area and not any cheaper.

The following are next to restaurants/gas and these are @ group rates:
Microtel East @$45.95 - single/double - 55.95 plus taxes. They are even willing to ask for extra police patrols for added security for us!
Days Inn Hurstbourne @ $44.95 plus taxes. Right behind an Olive Garden.

If you want to stay closer to I65, let me know. But these are very easy to get to, and I'd draw a map or even provide an "escort" to the hotels (from say the Indiana/KY border) if you want LOL.

On leaving you'd just continue the loop back to I65 at the south end of Louisville...About 5-8 miles east of I65 is where the hotels are. But I can ckeck out more of them by the airport just off of I65 if you want. Some should be ok,,,by KY Kingdom (6 flags)/airport/expo center.

This is the wife type again. Just checked on that Breckinridge Inn place on line. IF that's the place I'm thinking about, it looks better on line than it really is. And to get to it isn't any easier than the ones I mentioned earlier. A little closer yes, but not any easier. This is also going to be around Derby time here, so be prepared for some possble heavy traffic....more updates on that later.

"Chattanooga, that's where i am.. maybe i'll come ride with you for a few miles. that is, if you will slow down so my 6 can keep up lol...and if you want to know anything about, what to do.. good restuarants ETC... just ask....and you should drive through the Chickamauga Battlefield, through chickamauga (my hometown) and get a pic with all the cars at the good 'ol Gordon Lee high (my highschool). The backdrop would be the school, which looks like an old mansion... The parking lot is shaped like a horseshoe, so a panaramic picture would be AMAZING.... oh and there is an 1/8 mile drag strip here."

* May 24 (Wed) - Chicago to Louisville will be on I65. I'm going to leave the Chicago to Louisville leg up to Brian (Gettinthere).

* May 25 (Thurs) - Meet @ the hotel in Louisville @ 7:45 am to leave @ 8:00 for BG and the Corvette Museum. Visit the museum and eat lunch in BG. Leave there @ 12:00 for Lynchburg, TN (via Murfreesboro - lunch stop in Murfreesboro) and the Jack Daniels Distillery.

* Nashville to Lynchburg I55E (Briley Parkway) to I40/I24E. I24E to US231S, then merge onto TN 10/82S to TN55.

* Leave JD Distillery @ 5:00 for Chattanooga (about a 1 1/2 - 2 hour drive). TN 55 to I24E towards Chattanooga.

* May 26 (Fri) - Meet @ the hotel in Chattanooga @ 9:15 and leave @ 9:30 for Atlanta. Or see some sites in Chat, but it would need to be a general consensus to stay in Chat for a few hours and arrive in Atlanta a little later in the afternoon so we can roll in with as many F-bodies as we can!

We'll be leaving Chicagoland Speedway / Route 66 Raceway at 8:30 Wednesday morning. From there we are going to the Indianaplois Motor Speedway. That should take 2.5-3 hours depending on traffic. There is a time change, so that would put us there between 12:00 and 12:30 local time. We'll stay untill about 2:30 and check out the excitement that is the Indy 500. From there we will head out to Louisville. It's about a 2 hour drive so we should be there shortly before 5pm.

Then we can grab some food and head out to 4th street for some adult beverages and a good time.

Here at G10 in Atlanta. The cars Scott/GM brought are prime!

The drive out to GMMG for the open house was fun and nice cars awaited.

The silver concept is here and is easily viewed and more georgeous than I remembered from Detroit. The character lines so invisible in photos are very evident in person. The car looks better and better as you look closer and closer.

Lots of nice cars from the community, well cared for and many sound more than a tiny bit "messaged" in the HP area. My kind of event.

For those here that couldn't make it, you are missed...and you are missing out.
