I have always liked Mustangs. I have had alot of cars and I aways went back to a Mustang (the Fox body is my favorite).
I've had:
Camaro's (78, 84 with a 400 sb, 86)
Trans am's (84)
Corvette (93)
Challanger (74)
Charger (69)
and some others, even tried the import thing (2001 Civic) hated it.

A buddy of mine's dad left him an '89 Formula L98 when he died. My friend was 15. Since then, I've been obsessed with American cars.

Well I got an 85 Camaro for my 17th birthday (1991), I wanted a Camaro before that so I was full on hooked on fbodies after that. After I got out of college I traded it in on a junk 88 IROC-Z. After I got married in 1999 I needed a better car and started shopping around. Found the WS6 at Carmax, low miles, off-lease car, bone stock. Rest is history.
I was originally shopping for another Camaro though...wife said "why not a Trans Am" and I was like "yeah, why not?"

i knew the potential of the LS1 compared to other cars in the 15 to 18k range when i bought it, nad it was way better. the look of a WS6 T/A is hard to beat also

Not a bad car at all and it's kind of a sleeper

Have always wanted a musclecar that came with 4wheel disc brakes, a comforable interior, fuel injection and great looks.
A 4th gen Fbody was the logical choice.

i agree thrashn it def. has a sleeper feel to it since most grand prixs are moms and dads just driving to and from work or takin the kids around. and there are people out there drivin much worse cars so im really happey with it

i saw a black 97 Z/28 driving next to me one day and i said i had to have that, i had a 97 Grand Am at the time and my dad wouldnt let me buy a car older than what i had becuase of resale value or something like that(i have no plans on selling the car), lower intake manifold gasket was leaking BAD on the GA so i had to get somthing, got a 2000 V6 camaro had for a year, then i wanted the V8(wanted the V8 from the start), got dam near the same car with a V8, and at the time i really wanted a 93-97 style i really didnt like the 98+ front end, but its grown on me over the time ive had it
oh and i didnt even know what an LT1 or LS1 was untill after i got the car

I have always like the thirdgen Camaros, but had never seen much of the TAs. Saw a few and really like them, then found a hell of a steal on the 89 I picked up... Couldn't pass it up... that nad I was carless at the time.

When I was a boy in the early 80s I used to hang out with my grandfather at his job. On the same street was the auto row and a Pontiac dealership was across the street. I would always look out the window and see the 3rd Gen Firebirds which of course I related to Knight Rider. Cool! They were just sitting there and eventually people drove them off the lot with a big smile on their face. I always thought it must have been a great feeling to drive one.
Years later rolling in my '92 Grand Am I pull up to a light with two 4th Gen Firebirds ahead of me side by side with the T-tops off on both cars. The drivers and passengers were chatting away laughing and when the light turned green they flew.
Seeing that reminded me of when I was a little boy looking out at the Pontiac lot everyday. So I said to myself, "It's time." That was 2 months ago. I picked up a Trans Am not long after. Now I'm enjoying every second driving and maintaining this bird of mine. :)
