My 2500HD has an 8.1 ...

Actually, I like it. fuel economy is reasonable (13-14mpg) and it goes like the wind (but not getting 13-14mpg).

I would like to put an aftermarket cat-back on it ...

Not bad for a BIG motor,,, my 5.9 dodge gets like 11mpg average of course that one is a 93' with 214K on the clock.. part of why I bought an 02' sonoma.

I have to be conservative to get that kind of mileage ... no jack-rabbit starts and keep it below 2K RPM ...
