3000 max i'd say

4000 is throwing away a lot of power on a motor that has useable torque right across the board

4000 will only greatly benefit you at the drag strip.
Don't expect too much up top

Figuring max redline is 5700, that is leaving a lot on the table.... A 3000 is the most I would go with a stock cam/heads setup.

Vig 3200, stalls at 3600. I loved it when i had it on a stock heads/cam LT1.

4000... a bit much.

Becareful SNM i said 5700 rpm in another thread & they jumped all over me LOL.
I've heard 3000 even some enjoying 3200's ,when my car was just bolt on still good gas milage ,drivability ,etc i had a 2800 ran 13.07 i think that's pretty damn good.

I have a 3200 ish stall in mine and its a heads/cam car. I DD it and its sorta to big but then you get those moments at lights that make it all worth it.
And Keenan, I spin mine to 6k. :roflmao:
But I don't go telling people to do that.

Save your money for a Yank, the ss 3600 works perfect on a bolt-on car.
