yes i kno everyone has their personal opppinion on this subject cause it basically all boils down to looks. the performance would be almost identical with a little weight differnce between the 3. the t/a just has a few little things that the formula dont have and then the camaro is just a really sleek kind of boring looking car. i dont like the foglights on the front of the t/a, they make them look kinda non sleek, these cars flow so nice and have amazing body lines but with those fog lights and the bigger wing on back i think it ruins them. the formula is a lot sleeker because of no big fog lights and the wing on the back is much more stylish and makes the whole car look like a sleeper.,, anyone else have their oppinion on these cars???

yea the fog lights on my 95 z28 dont exactly help the looks

I don't particularly like the LT1 formula nose...and the fact they are indistinguishable from V6 cars.

Sleepers do nothing for me. I don't run around street racing, so I want the car to look fast not just be fast.

A formy with some kind of hood and a big set of wheels/tires looks great though, as does a formy with the TA wing and a set of wheels.

my 95 formula was ordered by the original owner WITH the t/a front end with the fog lights but it still has the low profile formula spoiler...i think its uniqe and looks great. when i get back home and actually get to drive the damn thing for the first time ill take pics and post them to show u how it looks. i bought the car from my best friend while over here in iraq. havent even driven it yet.

I actually like the look of the Trans Am best...I really like the fog lights. The hideaway headlights is what I really like over the Camaro.

I guess I like the simple look of my Z28. I removed my fog lights, lowered it, and put 17" wheel with a polished lip and black center, tinted the windows (20%), added a 96-97 SS spoiler, and blacked out the turn signals on the front. It looks alot better than the pontiacs IMO, but to each their own. If we all liked the same thing this would be a boring world, so here's to variety

My vote goes to the Formula - best looking of the bunch in my mind. In the end there can be no correct answer to this as everyone has there own opinion of what works best for them. Doesn't matter what I like. What makes you happy is what counts.

I like them all, just like the T/A more. I just don't know why they put that flat spoiler on them - I wanna wing, dammit!!! It's all good.

Chris, I will second that!

When I bought my LT1 T/A the dealer also had a formula same year little less money, their just to plain. The 93-97 formula's are the ugly ducklings of the 4th gen body style.

I thought about taking the fogs off the front of my camaro.. any pics of what it looks like?

why everyone is disliking the front foggers, the front of a black camaro with clear corners and fogger with parking lights on at night is the best thing ever

TA x whatever number its up to.

High rise spoiler... front end with the fog lights. lets face facts people... The TA's were the luxuriory car of the F-bodys. Formula and Z28's were the race cars...especially the formula. V6 body with a LT1

If i ever decide to part with my one of my red project car because the damn thing is to heavy, you'll be the first to know  they really are too heavy..and i know where a nice formula hatch is sitting at right as we type  But...it distinguishes the formula's from the TA's IMO... gotta have it !!! :blah:

Your not alone, my 96 T/A doesn’t have one either I have the flat, ugly, shapeless firebird spoiler . For the time being……

I tried checking out the aftermarket for one, didn't see anything appealing.
Anyone know of an OEM type hi-rise spoiler for gen 4 T/A?

ak47dennis
03-05-2007, 11:10 PM
The originals hi risers are dirt cheap ($50-75) More then likely the hatch will need repainting even if you get one the same color.

Hey guys, I have a red T/A with the flat crappy spoiler. I did find this type of add-on for that spoiler while looking around... Not too bad-what do ya think????

I saw that one a couple of paces - struck me as pricey - WTF, it is better than STOCK:lol:

sped
03-11-2007, 12:35 PM
It's better than stock by a little bit I guess, but I don't like it. It sucks how the big T/A wing is so heavy, but man does it look good.

I hate to pick a favorite f-body, because I think it would feel like dissing the others, and I love all f-bodys. Trans am is my favorite, I just love the looks. Formula and Camaro are equal to me, with a few mods one can really get a huge boost for looks. I would be happy to own any of those cars.

i like the look of the WS6 T/A over the SS Camaro but i like the Firebirds looks more cause they look more aggressive but hey i own both types of F-Bodys 97 Z28 with SS Hood and a 1994 T/A with the high rise spoiler no WS6 option tho

I like the look of the 93-97 Firehawk with the uplevel spoiler. I think thats the BEST muscle car setup. I drive a Camaro SS, but i was looking for a Hawk to buy and found this car instead.

03-29-2007, 09:22 PM
Trans Am!!! It's the most aggresive looking muscle car around. Formulas look like crap if you ask me, i hate the spoiler, that ruins it for me.
My choice would be
#1-Firehawk
#2-Trans Am WS6
#3-Camaro SS
#4-Formula

Take in acount i have none of these!

1st best spoiler is the TA high rise by far ;)
2nd best is http://www.fquick.com/garages/viewgallery.php?carid=4461 ahem
3rd Camaro 98+ SS spoiler.

I'm actually thinking about finding me a used TA light and fabbing up some LED's on a circiut board and slapping it in there

Speaking of that someone needs to make a lightweight 1 peice fiberglass hatch with plexi rear window. And if someone already does, then someone need to tell me already!!

VFN I think makes the hatch, and you can just get lexan glass from VFN too :LS1LT1flag: I'm giving serioius consideration into Lexan for the 93 TA

How well would their pro front end work for the street? My fender and bumper are all a little out of wack.

I recently purchased a complete T/A hatch off a “02” was under the belief the T/A high rise spoiler wouldn’t fit on the firebird hatch?

Any version of Trans Am works for me. :LS1LT1flag:

Now, to get the hi-rise wing, maybe a formula front clip...:coffee:

I suppose I should wait until the car is running like it should first. Someday :candlesad:

I really don't like the Firebird or T/A's from 93-97. The front on them is hideous in my opinion. However, I love how my Camaro's looks all around (except for the salad shooters )

TA definitely. Then Camaro SS, then Formula. However, all look amazing.

not a fan of the Camaros, they are not mean enough, i dont think there is anything meaner than a gen 4 w/ ram air hood, at night in your rear view. i love mine, got the black 02 with black rims and, the high rise i would never change for anything, or the fog lights, its my baby

Personally I like the looks of the Formula LT1 over the T/A. Just seems more streamline to me. Now on the other hand, I LOVE the LS1 T/A because I think the LS1 Formula looks like chit. Just my .02:LS1LT1flag:
