My Regal started this crap last night, I'm hoping someone can tell me what to look for, since I've gotta use this thing as a driver...

In low-speed braking (under 25 mph) there is a single "pop" pulse from the brake pedal that can be felt through the car, and the following idiot lights come on: TRAC OFF, BRAKE, SVC ENG, LOW TRAC. I tried panic stops (25, 30, and 45 mph) to duplicate it, but no luck. Road conditions have varied from wet to dry.

The last work done to the car was the recall stuff for the valvecover/sparkplug boots, it had brakework done in early '07, and has been on daily driver status since late '05. Car has 146,151 miles.

Any ideas?:dontknow:

UPDATE: It gets even better. It's something in the column associated with the signal stalk. About halfway through movement either up or down the idiots lights go off, it trips off either ABS or TRAC, retards the engine (if it's sitting, it dies! YAY!) and screws with the displays, changing both the odometer and the multigauge in the tach.

I had to have the signal stalk replaced, the old one wouldn't allow right turn signal through the car. I think I'm gonna have some fun yelling at the dealership Tuesday. Guess I'll be driving my Chevelle until then..

back in 2000 the impala's where having issues with intermittent shaft's(popping etc.) there was a TSB replacing them - although never an issue shutting off , good luck tuesday
