Welcome. I have been working on hopping up my Roadmaster for some time...till I realized how damn rusty it really was. Then I went and found me a southern car. :D

and I'm only 21... with no Job. ;) I found some other ways to make money with these cars. No, not stealing things or Selling drugs. It's all legal.
Are they fast for stock? you bet your ass they are. Mine ran a 14.88 with the following mods, with plugged up fuel filter...
TB-Bypass
CAI
Muffler Delete
Performance Valvesprings
Air Lift 1000's in the rear
Monroe Severe Service shocks
Pulled the rear seat
275/50/15 drag radials
weighed in at 4200lbs with me(I'm 150lbs). this was with the stock 2.56 gears. If your car is a towpack car, it will have 2.93's, and Positraction... which both help. Posi for traction, and the 2.93's for getting out of the hole.
I think the plugged up fuel filter was costing me a bit, and the 2.56's definatly hurt you out of the hole, going by how much higher the MPH is vs the runs my Fleetwood made.
My Fleetwood, which weighed in at 4490, with
2.93's, no posi
CAI
New 2.5" catback and Summit turbo mufflers
performance valvesprings
AirLift 1000's
235/75/15 truck tires
HD "9C1/towpack" suspension
monroe Severe Service shocks
it ran 14.97 in similar weather, which was close to a Zero D/A(density Altitude). In racing, the lower the D/A the better your car will run, as it makes more power. Also, 100lbs shed means you go about .1 second faster.

One wonderful thing is, Roadmasters are just Impala SS's, or Caprice 9C1's with a different Shell! And they really respond well to bolt ons. Check here for some times cars run. I'm on there three times. and my 96 caprice is on there under Phil Dreger. All in class 6. stock heads and cam.
