Hey guys, I'm looking for a good set of "shorty" style spark plugs to run in my '80 Z28. I need some breathing room between my spark plugs and the headers so the car wont roast another set of plug wires. Are the Accel shorty plugs any good? The car is a daily driver and sees a lot of miles, roughly 30 a day.

Ok first off there isnt much difference in length - maybe 1/8 inch from my old Tr55,TR6's and TR9's ---- Yes i am using them now for my race plug - Im getting about 12 runs on them before i can see a difference in ET-- So i dont think they like the Hot Ignition im pushing them with or yea im also spraying a 300 shot of Nitrous. I use the MSD wires but i have them wrapped in Thermotec from DEI -- it works great and sticks well

I've been running 276S's in the Camaro since 2001.

How many miles do you get out of them?

Thats great. Thanks five7kid. I picked up a set of the Accel shorty plugs from work today, gave me the clearance I needed, and then some. They're nearly a quarter inch shorter than the AC Delco #2's I took out of the car... Only time will tell if they work out well, but for the time being, the car runs great, and I shouldn't have to worry about anymore fried spark plug boots.
