Hello i am looking into getting a short throw shifter. Right now I have found two that im interested in. The first is a Hurst.

Here is the link to the one.

The Second is a Pro 5.0 one. From reading the Pro one is the better one. Here is a link to the pro 5.0 one

I am willing to spend more money for a better shifter. Anyways please let me know which one would be the better one to go with.

Thanks

I have a mutt when it comes to a shifter. I have a Pro 5.0 shifter w/ Hurst biased springs, and a Lou's short stick thats been straightened about 10-15 degrees topped off w/ a SLP leather knob. I don't like how a majority of your short sticks are bent towards the driver.

I like the Pro 5.0 I have, the springs on mine got a little weak in after some driving. Hence why i put the Hurst double biased springs in them.

the best shifter was a B&M Ripper for the Fbody. Russ has driven all kinds of shifters in the Fbody and he raves about the ripper. Granted it is a one piece design and is not short when compared to the others, ie it is as tall as the stocker, but the precision he never missed a gear.

I've got a Hurst Billet/Plus in mine w/ the Hurst T-handle and love it. It's not a whole lot shorter than the stock one but the throws are way shorter and very crisp.

I acutally just go done putting in a 5.0 a couple weeks ago, I love it a difference of night a day. But I haven't compared it to the others . . .

As you can clearly see, all 3 main shifters have been named. So its really all on which one you think is best. But one thing we can all agree on..is that the stock shifter sucks :)

Yeah, Nothing beats losing that long throw and being able to miss 2nd to 3rd when you really need it.
