Such a narrow range of slippage....it even chatters in reverse, LOL.

I bought the Aussie clutch , still haven't installed or the motor /tranny yet but from the guys who have , it supposedly has better street manners.

My spec 3 chatters in reverse too, but hey! it grips!

It shakes the whole car backing out from the driveway, LOL. Its definitely a lot of clutch. Not for the faint of heart or left leg.

I want one, but damn its pricey. Most likely worth it, but I don't have the cash.

It is pricey but you get quite a bit for those$$$$ . Flywheel , throwout bearing , clutch pressure plate , install tool . The entire assembly is balanced and matched , too.

I ran the RAM 6130 disc, and 402 pressure plate in my SS, along with a resurfaced flywheel, and a Mcleod Billet Adj. Master Cyl. with the drill mods, and an updated GM slave. Although that set-up was very agressive, it still lasted over 70K miles, and was holding just as strong when I sold it, at the power it was making, as it was when I first installed it, with nothing more than bolt-ons. Needless to say, my left calf muscle looks pretty damn good!! :D

The 10 bolt has already been hurt at the track...3.73s in there now. All the 9 inch stuff is here, I just have to set the gears up and then install the assembly.
5 launches in one day on Nittos and the 10 bolt started howling like mad...my first time to the track with the M6 too.

I think that Specs are junk. I was at a certain high-profile LS1 speed shop a couple weeks ago that will remain unnamed...
I found it interesting that the sales manager for the shop was on the phone with spec about a customer's car when I was there. It was certainly NOT complimentary.
McLeod is one of the best clutches available if you can afford it, along with the Textralia and Exedy pieces.

I have the Textrailia, and its amazing. The street manners are great, and it seems to handle the power I throw at it.

after a few 6000 rpm clutch dumps it wont chatter nearly as much.... think of clutches like your friends ... they all make a bunch of noise till you slap em around a bit....
note ...i am just playing i dont slap all my friends around... just the ones i really like :P

McLeod owns all. Spec is crap. :D
My ST doesn't chatter at all. It did for maybe 200 miles, and that was it. Buttery smooth and grips like a mofo. My ONLY complaints are the tiny slippage zone and the heavy pedal. But hey, that's part of the trade off.
