Well, I have a 1979 Camaro z28 with approx 71000 miles. I'm looking for something I can use as a daily driver. Anything from a 6 cylinder 3rd gen to an ls1 forth, even a 4 cylinder 3rd gen but theyre kindof hard to find. I'm mostly looking for a trade, or to sell my car before I buy another vehicle. Right now I have 3 vehicles and 2 of them have too much sentimental value, and I dont want to have 4 at the same time so i need to get rid of the z28 before I can get anything else. I'm looking to get about 6k for it, or a reasonable trade so make an offer! I'm not sure if I want to part with the cragers, as I have other wheels for it. heres some pictures

Cool, now why would you not want to drive it for over an hour? is it bad on the gears? cause I have had 3.73's b4 and drove it for long periods. Also Are you interested in my car as a trade? it is a 95 Z28 auto drop top (new this year) grat tread 116XXX miles and runs like a top. oh interior is tan leather in awsome shape. no big stains or any thing.

well, 50-60 mph = about 3000 rpms and I wouldnt want to run the motor like that, thats all. I may be interested in a trade I'd have to see more of the car. Could you tell me a little about it?

Sure, the car has 116,XXX miles, auto,LT1 motor, I just did a tune up with NGK TR55 plugs, New convertible top this year, tires are fairly new, interior is in great shape, tranny shifts fine, and motor runs strong. Exterior is in ok shape for original paint. I am wet sanding the door cause clear coat is fadded and peeld a lil so i'm fixing it. I am tracking down why the amp's fuse is blowing I believe it was due to a bad ground. It will be hooked up with a base tube. It has an Alpine deck and older sony explode speakers. Both window motors are working, Passenger window is a lil slow but works, also is tinted. The leather in in good shape the driver seat shows a lil wear but not bad. Steering wheel is leather wraped but is worn at the top, so it has a cover. Passed va inspection and emissions no probs. Well can't think of any thing else if you have more Q's just ask.
I love 79's I have owned 2 my first car was a 79 with 355 an munsi 4 speed. my second was an RS. So if we ended up trading your car would go to a loving home.

Well, thats good to know. Ive tried to take care of it to the best of my ability. I've barely put 1000 miles on it since i've had it. Even though it has a pretty hot 355 in it, I resist temptation and dont run it hard. I'm the kind of person that wont abuse my things so it would be good to see it well taken care of. I should be getting more pictures of it next weekend. I'l take some of the interior and other general pictures. Anything else anyone would want to see?

Mainly the under carraige, and quarterpanels trunk pan, and floor boards, Need to know if there is rus or rot. Also where in NJ are you ? cause I am close to Baltimore, MD. Do you need more Pix? if so let me know where you want them ie. under hood under carraige/ etc. Thanks Mike. And will you keep the rims on it (the ones in the pic or others) if so can you take a pic. Oh and what kind of gas mileage does it get? Since you said it had a hot motor. And when was the motor work done? did you doit? and was the tranny replaced or rebuilt or is every thing original. Oh I forgot to mention the dash is cracked but every thing works fine (its just the top part by the windshield).

I'm in vineland during the week and the bordentown area on weekends. I'l take pictures, but underneath I didnt see any rust last time i was under about 6 months ago. I will still take pictures though. I pulled up the carpet about a year ago and didnt see any rust in the floorboards. The trunk is unfinished but there is no rust in there. The notorious pocket that holds water around the trunk weatherstriping has no rust. There are two small rust spots. One is on the rear quarter at the way bottom down near the ground about the size of the bottom of a soda can. Its actually bubbled rust there is still paint over it. The other one I forget where its at but it was about the size of a quarter at the bottom of the car which is a bubble. I would kindof like to keep the cragers to put on my g/fs car since she likes them, but it could probably be negotiated. The others are weld draglites on the front and ultra "draglite" look alikes which do look exactly the same as the front. Well I think thats what they are called...theyre the solid aluminum wheels. As far as the motor, it was built a couple years ago by a speed shop in northern jersey whos name escapes me at the moment. The work was done 2 owners ago. It is the original block with the original crank and rods. It has forged pistons which are 10.5:1 pistons but I'm not sure of actual compression with the heads it has. The heads are the stock heads which have been ported and polished. It has stainless valves, 1.5:1 roller rockers, a comp cams camshaft with 282* duration on both valves and .500" lift. The cam really makes this car sound great and run great as well. It also has an edelbrock performer rpm intake with an edelbrock carb. As far as the transmission, it is a TH-350 which has a B&M shift kit, which shifts great. Never had any transmission problems. As far as fuel mileage, I havent checked it myself but based off what it has, I would say 13 or lower. It has potential to do better topped with a different carb. I have the original rear gears for it which appear to be in good shape. The pinion gear still has the shims on it so it may be just an install and check tooth pattern.
