Allright so here is what has been picking at me since I bought the car. On the valve cover on the pass. side of the engine, a hole which looks like it was for a PCV valve or something has a screw and nut in it. Now the other thing is, I noticed a cut piece of tube just above it with a screw in it, coming from somewhere near the back of the TB. Does anyone have any clean top down pics of a 305 out of one of these with the air box off so I can see what this is or goes to? Or does anyone have an idea of what this is or was?

pretty sure its supposed to be a PCV valve, i think there is one on each valve cover on those 305's, and 350's for that matter, i know all my trans ams and firebirds had one on each

I will check where the tube goes to, the thing is though, the tube that goes to the PCV on the drivers side goes right to the breather filter in the air box and is a thick black tube, this one is a small, white, seethrough tube (no sexual innuendo intended) that goes somewhere near the rear of the block.

Sorry, black tube for the existing PCV on the drivers side goes right into the TB, the PCV filter from the airbox connects to the passenger side valve cover via another tube, now the tube I'm asking about, starts as a black tube, has a brass connector to the white see through tube, comes right out of the manifold (directly under the EGR) and has a screw in it. Through poking around I could guess it is a rear coolant passage line? Because I've noted that infront of the AC condenser infront of the rad, there is what looks like a small intercooler? One line comes out of the rad straight into this cooler thingy, which is then routed somewhere under my car. I am completely lost and at the moment am trying to call the prev. owner to ask wtf it is. Does anyone have any ideas at all?
