one of my hoses has a seep, and its more annoying than anything. the hose looks like it has a quick disconnect in line about 5 inches from the water pump. i don't want to be driving down the road and splash goes an idiots coolant. should i just do a hose "splice" or replace the entire hose, which runs all the way back to the heater core if i know halfway what im looking at. what do you guys think?
BTW is the hose on the lower left side if you are standing in front of the car looking at the water pump.
It all depends on where its seeping from on what action to do. If its close to the fitting on the water pump then just remove and cut and stretch the hose out a bit. So the question at hand is, where exactly it is seeping from?

if its that little flush valve or w/e thats leaking then i would just remove it and put a coupler. if its the hose then you can just replace the little hose after the valve?

I've had several hoses go out on me. I just replaced them, or cut out the hole and add a connector with clamps.

That thing in the hose is a flow reducer. Sometimes it leaks. Some have just cut it out and used a hose barb (union) to join the hoses together.
