Hey guys, I have all my parts from Summit and I was looking at what I ordered. I must have read something wrong on one of the posts. I have a 1995 Impala and need a timing chain. I don't need the water pump drive because I'm electric. Summit sent me a Cloyes 3157. There is no provision to drive the opti off the cam gear. It sure appears that I've ordered the wrong part. Is there a true roller timing chain set that will work that doesn't cost and arm and a leg. A single roller would be best because I really don't want to grind on the front cover. Does anyone have part numbers for what I need.

Thanks and have a great day. --Bill--

Any timing chain cover that'll fit an 85+ factory hydraulic roller cam will work on a LTx.

Cloyes 9-3145 is the factory hydraulic roller double timing chain and theres not much grinding necessary on the timing cover to make it clear, its just mostly time consuming because you have to bolt it up, check for the shiny reflection and grind some more. I thought i'd throw that number in because that number i know off top of my head.

looks like that one will work. The cam pin is what drives the optispark, not the cam gear.
