So i went to go and get a 02 sensor yesterday and they had a universal one for like $25 less but you had to cut off the old male harness off the sensor and wire it back up to the new one, took about 30 min all together to get it out and in, but works perfectly....

But im wandering if since i did go the cheap route if they are less reliable and such...basically just wanting to know the cons, and pro's if there are any, of using them.

I would have gone oem as well. You'll know the cons if your car start to run like crap down the road, not that I'm saying it will. Besides that you'll have to re-splice any replacements from now on, but that doesn't happen frequently. As long as you have no codes and the car runs well, you should be good.

i just put headers on my 02 ls1 firebird. and its missfiring bad now. could it be cause the rear o2 sensors arent hooked up and i have no o2 eleminators on them? i took it to advanced auto to see what the comp had to say but all it said was rear o2 sensors and cylinder 7 missfire but the guy said it was probably tryin to fix itself
