I was just wondering, would the differential / gear set, front springs, and rear shocks off of a 1995 Caprice 9C1 fit onto my 89 Caprice? The rear ends remained the same did they not? Same with the suspension?

Nope.
The 94-96 9C1 has a 8.5" rear while the box Caprices had 7.5" IIRC.
In any case......they are different.

But th entire diff it's self should bolt right in. the 91-96 uses a 5x5 bolt pattern, where as the pre 91's used a 5x4.75 IIRC, I forget what my grandma 83 LeSabre was(same setup). If your gonna send alot of power thru the 89 caprice, you would be wise to toss out the 7.5" unit. The front spindles should swap over, so long as the lower ball joint is the same size. :D
the B-body frame from 77-96 was nearly identical. meaning, anything that works on a later frame, SHOULD work on an early frame. there are slight differences, like crossmember bolt up locations, frame rail braces, gas tanks, notches for the engine. But all suspension items should work. A wagon diff assy won't bolt into a sedan, and vise versa.

Allright, so you're saying I shouldn't have any problem at least with the shocks and springs right? But the diff could prove to be a little problematic?

Yep. The entire diff housing will swap over, but internal stuff is way different.

This is Jay, you posted about me looking for 9C1 rims...if you're working on an 89 caprice, I might have a parts car for you. It's an 83 olds delta 88 that hasn't run in about a year. I'm sure it will, with enough prodding. it's a 307,200R4. it just kinda outlived it's usefulness. was thinking of scrapping it anyway but I could trade for a set of cop rims...or fifty bucks, or a case of beer for all I care! you'd have to figure out a tow or trailer, tho...
