I have a 1996 Impala and I want to drop a LS1 or LS2 motor in it. I tried to do some research and find
I have a 1996 Impala and I want to drop a LS1 or LS2 motor in it. I tried to do some research to find information on such projects but I was not able to find any.

Do any of you know any links or articles that talks about this, or do any of you know anything about this? My main concern is the k-member and the oil pan.

Any information regarding this engine swap will be appreciated, thank you.

Are you talking about on here?

There are at least 10 LS swaps that I know of on the impalassforum, and quite a few that have threads about them. One of the guys comes on here, his handle is 2tonchevy. Another one is LS1 MM6(Gary Meier). They are out there, you just have to look in the right places.

No, in general. For example I was able to many sites where it talked about the T56 swap. But I did not see anything about the LS engine swaps.

I recently became an Impala owner; I have always been a Camaro owner so I have a lot to learn about the Impala. Thank you for the information, that was helpful.
