Please help, will an ls motor just bolt into my impala????thanks for any and all help!!!!
no the ss has the LT1. a conversion to an ls is quite expensive also, and takes a long long time usually (years).;)

It doesn't have to take years, but it is somewhat involved. Do a search for LS1 conversion.
Just off the top of my head, you will need:
LS1 k-member
LS1 pcm
LS1 wire harness
Many people have done it, the LS1 is a superior engine, but it would be much cheaper to just build up a LT1.

It might take years if you try to put a K-member from an F-body into a B-Body Impala SS.
LS swaps into B-bodies are becoming very popular and it's not that hard. You need motor mounts, wiring harness, PCM among other things and it's been done in weeks, not years. You should check on Impala SS forums, if the site ever comes back up or simply stays up for more than a day.

Yeah and it's easy to make a 409 LS motor! You actually could get close to 500rwhp in a B-body with one! Auto and all!

My bad. I'm so used to seeing LS1 into Fbody swap questions. :banghead:
